School-Based Services

School-Based Services

Youth Point has collaborated with local school districts to provide therapeutic services during the school day and after school all year round. Our highly trained clinicians work directly with the student, school, and family to create an individualized treatment approach for every student.

A Master’s level clinician meets with students during the school day to provide a variety of evidence-based interventions to reach desired treatment goals. Therapy usually lasts between 30 and 45 minutes.

Therapy times rotate weekly, so students avoid missing the same class. Youth Point offers students currently enrolled in services the opportunity to meet with our child psychiatrist to identify any need for medication.

Contact your child’s school psychologist and ask to place a referral for school-based services. School intakes and 1:1 sessions can be completed virtually through our telehealth platform. All telehealth services comply with HIPAA regulations to ensure sessions are private and confidential.

School Based Mentoring
Through Project AMP, a Bachelor's level clinician meets with students aged 13 years and older at school, in the home, and in the community. This mode of support does not require insurance and runs approximately weekly for 6 weeks. The clinician provides social/emotional support, goal oriented skill building, educational/occupational skill building, temporary transportation, as well as person-centered and strength based approaches.

A participant does not need to be enrolled in other services to benefit from Project AMP.
